I happened to come across these words of Tipu Sultan - wow
Hasadbhih kriyate karma ruladbhir-anubhuyate" (People do [evil] deeds smilingly but suffer the consequences crying)
It is far better to live like a lion for a day than to live like a jackal for a hundred years
I have always admired him right from The sword of Tipu sultan in DD days ... my admiration only grew when I came across a para in Abdul Kalam's WIngs of Fire - about how he happened to see ,in NASA - a painting of Tipu sultan fighting the British with rockets..... This man had a vision which many other kings lacked - be it technical empowerment , be it secularity or be it communal harmony.

i just liked the words ... sanskrit verses from a muslim king ! and beautiful ones too ..... there is no other big idea behind the post !
